upcycled handbag zaphanate

The elegant handbag is handmade from a recycled billboard with an inner lining of the typical african kente linen. The bag is very stable and well-crafted.

It has a small bag closed with a zipper inside and outside. With the zipper the bag can be closed. The bag is washable outside.

Each bag is unique, therefore the colors and patterns do not always correspond to the figures.

Trashy bags has been evolved from a plastic garbage problem in Ghana. Carelessly discarded plastic bags, so called "pure water sachets", in which drinking water is sold, are being transformed to creative bags, now mainly laptopsleeves. As new material old billboards are also being used to create colourful, creative upcycled bags.
